The December 13 editorial in the Star, ‘Bombing the North,’ came to my attention recently, and I wanted you to know how pleased I was with it. Your analysis of the necessity for the warning to the other side seemed especially good, and I appreciated your comment that I would not want to order new bombing missions unless forced by Hanoi’s activities. Encouragement is always gratifying, or course, but your continued support is particularly appreciated.
