This is a beautiful copper plaque that is a replica of a sign from the HMS Hercules, a 3rd rate ship of the line the the Royal Navy in the early to mid 1800s. It specifies that sailors returning from leave drunk will forfeit their grog ration. In excellent condition, it has never been mounted on a wall or board. Makes an excellent bar decoration or just an interesting wall hanging. Acquired by my parents many years ago and ready to take a place in your collection!The photos are of the very plaque you are offerding on, not \"similar\" items.
