The Gulf War oil field tragedy created by Saddam Hussain was the biggest obstacles that Red had ever come face to face with. It was almost as if his entire career had trained him for this very moment that he would face this many fires that could literally obliterate the earths environment, atmosphere and pollute the earth for years and years and years. It could destroy our natural resources and leave the earth completely destitute and barren. Believe it or not Red was 76 when he went to Kuwait to battle the out of control wells that many estimated would take over 10 years to control. Red managed to systematically organize the worlds best wild well fighters from many different companies. All of these companies were competitors but they all came together to battle these fires as 1 dream team of rough necks. This badge is dated July 17, 1991 through November 1, 1991. I only have two of these badges. They are for different time periods during the Gulf crisis. This is the actual work badge that had to be worn at all times due to hostile environment. I will also provide a certificate of authenticity from The Estate of Red Adair. Plus it will come with one of the medium 2“ x 3“ metallic logo stickers.
