Straight from the estate of a well-known military antique collector comes this beautiful US Army Air Service Spalding Hard Leather Flying Pilot Helmet w/Goggles. This particular helmet is in great shape overall with no major signs of trauma or visible damage but does show obvious age. The inside cloth and all the stitching is in fantastic condition. The outside is covered in writing and names/locations including "US Air Service" along the side and the symbol on the front. Most of the text has faded but is still visible in areas. Some of these markings can be seen in the pictures. The goggles show their age and the leather padding is highly disintegrated. Display head not included.
