This unique and rare vintage carved wood sculpture is the work of renowned artist Carl Johan Trygg, depicting a hobo with his hands in his coat pockets. Measuring approximately 6.5" inches tall, this piece showcases Trygg's remarkable skill in capturing detailed expressions and character in his figures. This Hobo is similar to another Trygg Hobo I'm selling. This one is slightly taller, and he's looking to his left with his hands in his pocket.
**Condition:** I see a chip on the bill of his hat. (See pictures)The sculpture is in nice vintage condition with possible paint loss or wear in spots, consistent with age. Please examine the photos carefully to appreciate the quality and condition of this collectible piece.
**About the Artist:** Carl Johan Trygg (1887-1954) was a Swedish woodcarver celebrated for his detailed and expressive carved figures. Born in Småland, Sweden, Trygg moved to Canada in the 1920s, where he continued his craft. He is particularly known for his series of carved wooden figures depicting various characters, often imbued with a sense of humor and humanity.
