Rare Vintage Revere Ware Pre-1968 Copper Clad 5 Quart Saucepan And Lid Made USA. The pre-1968 made pots are indicated by the two screws in the handle; the two concentric circles around the Revere Ware logo on the bottom of the pan; and the Made Under Process Patent Message and number of the bottom of the pan. The pre-1968 Revere Ware Copper Clad pans are most desirable among collectors and cooks because they are made with thicker, heavier layers of metal which yields more even heating, for more consistent, reliable and superior cooking results compared to lighter weight pans produced as a cost saving measure in more recent years. This large 5-quart saucepan has been well maintained and is clean and bright. With proper care this pan will serve well for many more years.
We still use our family\'s Revere Ware Set purchased back in the 1950s. They cook well on gas or electric ranges, but are not compatible with induction cook tops.
Very good pre-owned condition. Normal scrapes and scratches from regular kitchen use over its life of sixty plus years. Minor dimple in lid. Pot sits flat on a hard surface (not warped). No black spots of baked on grease from a poorly maintained pot. Handle is secure and Bakelite is not cracked nor chipped. Lid fits as originally designed.
