Rare Elliott Big Size Fountain Pen Huge Nib 1930s or 1940s Japanese Eyedropper:
$129.00

This rare vintage Elliott fountain pen boasts a huge nib and gold trim, making it a unique addition to any collection. The pen is made of durable resin and has a Japanese-style eyedropper design. It is perfect for anyone who appreciates vintage pens or is looking for a unique writing instrument. It is a great find for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
Elliott is a fountain pen manufacturer that once existed in Tokyo, Japan. The lack of JIS mark on the nib suggests that the pen was made before the 1950s. The fact that the nib is made of steel and not gold suggests that it was made during or around World War II.Approximately 80-year-old fountain pen. There are scratches on the feeder and a chip on the section. There is rust on the plated parts of the clip and rim. As you can see in the photo, the feeder and nib are slightly misaligned, and I have tried to repair it but could not disassemble it. The ink flow is good and there is no problem with writing. Gold plating remains on the nib so I did not polish it much. I removed the old cork from the end of the barrel and replaced it with an O-ring.Japanese-style eyedropper - This pen is built with a shut-off valve at the end of the barrel. To fill, simply unscrew and remove the nib section and pour ink into the barrel compartment as you would be a normal eyedropper. To write, you must unscrew the knob at the end of the barrel slightly, in order to allow ink to flow to the nib. This knob is attached to a rod that extends into the barrel. When the knob is flush with the barrel, the rod extends to a hole in the ink collector and cuts off the ink.Does not come with a box and ink.
