Rare Vintage 1930s Colclough England Bone China Imari Design Footed Cup/Saucer
This coffee/tea cup and saucer was first introduced by Colclough China (England) in 1933, it is now discontinued. Decorated with a beautiful mix of rust, green and cobalt blue, it is trimmed in gold gilt along the borders and the handle. Other than the swags used, it has the look of an Asian Imari design.
The footed cup measures 3 3/8" in diameter and 2 1/2" tall and holds approximately 7 fluid ounces, the saucer is 5 5/8" in diameter. Together they weigh 10 ounces.
In very good vintage condition, there are no chips, cracks or crazing. There is wear to some of the gold gilt, especially the top rim and the handle, from age and use.
