Rare Rings n Things Julep Chop Cup Brass Tone RNT St Louis '70s Very Few Made:

This is a very rare chop cup from the original Rings n Things. Sometimes called the Julep Cup or the Mint Julep cup the standard version was available only in the silver finish. A few of these were made and only sold at conventions. Made at the original St Louis Rings n Things in the '70s.

A must for any Rings & Things collector.

To quote:

"The Cup is a RNT Chop Cup, that's what we called it. The reason why it is gold is it is coated with Epoxy Baking Enamel, it is spayed on and then baked in an oven for 20 minutes. We used the (colored) enamel mostly on the Duck Pan, Zombie Ball and on the Rice Orange Checkers. Epoxy Baking Enamel came in Clear, Gold and Copper. A RNT Chop cup with Gold epoxy is very rare because we just made a few to see what they looked like and took them to the conventions. When it is baked on it is there to stay, it is a very hard finish. All aluminum magic were coated with epoxy but mostly clear coated.      Tim Star"
