BACKGROUND
- For sale is one of 2 British Airways Concorde Galley Boxes which I have personally loved owning
- These galley boxes are rare, particularly because they are in excellent condition and have been untouched/unmolested since I came to own them
- Originally from British Airways Concorde G-BOAC (now housed in Manchester Airport) which frequently flew to destinations such as New York and Barbados
Features the British Airways logo in silver with a matching Concorde plaque, as well as the original embossed logo on the galley box itself and the part number plate
CONDITION
Pictures show the box in its current condition:
- Number 45 has a slightly more worn cosmetic condition externally than number 42 (now sold) . From what I've learned over the years, this is fairly typical due to how the cabin crew/ground crew handle them (roughly!). Again, rather than look to repair it, I thought it a more fitting tribute to its heritage to leave as is
VALUE
- These boxes are rare and each one is unique. Both boxes have their own certificate of authenticity including a picture of them situated on board G-BOAC
- I am aware of other Concorde Galley boxes being sold, one of which recently went for £1000+ on its own and another which is up for much less but as you'll see, its condition does not compare in any way to these
Collection is preferred from Congleton, CW12 but delivery can be arranged. Please bare with me as I have to schedule collection/delivery around work commitments but will do my best to accommodate requests.
