Mr. Vinciguerra was born on November 5, 1916 in Akron, Ohio, where his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Vinciguerra, still reside. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree at Akron University in 1939, and his law degree at George Washington University in 1950. He is unmarried and lives at the Parkside Apartments, 10509 Montrose Avenue, in Bethesda, Maryland.\"

Here is an excerpt from his obituary from the Akron Beacon Journal, \"John Vinciguerra, 78, of Akron, died Wednesday, June 22, 1994 at St. Hospital. John was born in Akron on November 5, 1916, graduated from North High School in 1935, going on to The University of Akron, graduating in 1939. John was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army for a period of 5 1/2 years, first in the Counter Intelligence Corps in the Middle East, later in Italy, and then transferring to the Manhattan Projects as the intelligence officer attached to the office of General Leslie Grove, commanding officer in the development of the atom bomb. After his military service, John returned to Washington, D.C, working in the Dept. of Labor. After a few months, John received an opportunity to join the newly formed Atom Energy Commission and spent the next 28 years serving in various capacities, and ending his government career as Assistant General Manager for the Administration. A final award to John was presented by the A.E.C. with recognition of service to the federal government during the period of 1941 to 1973. John retired from government service in 1973 and went into private industry with the Eagle Pitcher Co.\"

About the Atomic Energy Commission: the Atomic Energy Commission was established in 1946 under President Harry S. Truman\'s reign. It would be dissolved about 30 years later in 1975. The AEC\'s chair from 1953 to 1958 was Lewis Strauss, portrayed by Robert Downey, Jr in the 2023 film \"Oppenheimer\". Downey, Jr. would win the Oscar for his portrayal of the AEC chair, and \"Oppenheimer\" won Best Picture.

This is a rare opportunity to obtain the autograph of this historic figure, who was involved in both the Manhattan Project and the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission.
