Rare Huge Antique Eclipse Flat Top Orange Red Fountain Pen Made In USA 14K:

Offering a rare antique Eclipse orange-red Fountain Pen, Made In USA. Circa 1923.

This very large and fine Orange-Red fountain pen by Eclipse features a hard rubber body with black end caps, gold filled clip, lever and 14K gold nib. Signed, Eclipse, Pat. 3/18/23, Nib marked, Eclipse, 14K N.Y. This collectible fountain pen has not been cleaned or tested and is fresh out of a local estate here in Oyster Bay, New York.

Measuring: 5 1/2” Long Capped.

The condition is excellent. Only a tiny bit of tarnish to the clip and a damaged 14K nib. The rest of the metal fittings are fine, bright and shiny. The clip rests firmly against the cap. The body is beautiful. The lever will not swing open. Maybe because the ink sac has hardened. I have limited knowledge of collectible pens so I will not force it open, choosing to let collectors and pen mechanics who know about these things to address this issue if so desired.
