Rare, once in a lifetime opportunity to own one of these hard to find, rarest Early Case knife Authentic Case Brothers/Case tested XX Little Valley New York \"Cotton Sampler\" knife 4-1/8\" closed, 4 1/8\" open. This Cotton Sampler is over 100 years old. The \"Cotton Sampler\" blade has no wear. Blade tang has excellent deep tang stamp. Perfect opening and strong snap closing. It was made when Case Brothers made and finished all knives by hand at their first plant, a cinder block building in Little Valley, NY. There was never a pattern number issued by Case Brothers for the Cotton Sampler. The only other example is pictured in the late Case Author and Case Ambassador Mr. Jim Sargents Premium Guide to Knives and Razors published in 2003. This current price reflects rarity and how can you fairly value a Case Brothers Cotton Sampler made at 1st Case plant over 100 years ago.
