SUPER RARE SAN JOAQUIN MANUFACTURING COMPANY, OAKDALE, CALIFORNIA MID 20th CENTURY ANTIQUE VINTAGE SMALLER SIZED STERLING SILVER BELT BUCKLE FEATURING A GOLD SULKY HARNESS STANDARDBRED HORSE & DRIVER IMAGE— This antique western American belt buckle is being offered in genuine and true vintage condition with a naturally aged finish. The gold harness racing image shines brightly and shows very little (almost no) tarnish at all, as would be expected on a gold surface. We are not certain of the karat or type of gold…….but it certainly is genuine gold and we are selling the buckle with that guarantee.The engraved sterling portions do show the customary and usual darker finish from the many decades of oxidation since the buckle was made. It is still fully functional with a secure latch style clasp on the buckle back. We have been informed by an expert collector friend that this San Joaquin Manufacturing Company of Oakdale, California was only in existence for a few short years. The buckle is a smaller one, measuring 2” x 1 1/8”, fitting belts up to 7/8” wide, and weighing about an ounce. Shipping will be USPS first class package, insured and with signature confirmation of delivery, carefully wrapped.
