This is a stunning example of the very rare and highly desirableRembrandt hippocampus and swan bridge lamp. It featuresa beautiful seahorse that is sharply cast and highly detailed. It sits at the apex of the reeded pole and rides a stylized wave that comprises the structure of the actual bridge. Theend of thebridge terminates as a stylized swan's head. It stillhas the original brass light fixture with the original 2 1/4" brass shade fitter with the original flower head knurled brass screw. Thefixture itself is on a swivel enabling thelight to be directed according to your needs (this is a rare feature and was mostlikely a customer request) The lamp has just been professionally rewired by a red seal electrician. It is made from Bronze, copper and brass. This was manufactured in Toronto by Rembrandt Canada and had a water decal on the bottom of the stand. Unfortunately It disintegrated during its cleaning. I am including free tracked shipping in this sale. I will ship this flat to ensure it arrives without damage. To that end I will unscrew the base and remove the shade fitter. While it is a very simple matter to re attach both these pieces I can include video instructions on a memory stick if required.
