Rare Antique Kerosene Stand Lamp with Unusual 1908 Kovacic Flame Extinguisher:

Unusual antique kerosene lamp

Flame spreader is attached to an inside lever that lifts and pushes the flame extinguisher - there is a band around the stem of the lamp that lifts the flame spreader and lowers it about 1"

**We have not seen this lamp before but are assuming it is complete apart from the chimney

Flame spreader is marked: "PAT. DEC. 1 '08 905543" which corresponds to the B. Kovacic flame extinguisher as shown

Bottom of lamp is marked: "5339"

Wick installed; thumbwheel advances wick as designed

Very nice antique condition / exactly as shown - there are a couple of small dings (largest one shown - see pic).

13 1/2" high to top of shade holder arms

63/8" diameter base
