Here is a rare, antique Japanese Tokoname terra cotta lidded jar with high relief dragons and a fabulous foo lion finial knob on the lid.It dates from the last quarter of the 19th century and is of the period.It measures 5- 1/2 inches in diameter, and is 6 inches high with lid.This piece is in excellent, used antique, condition with just an old, small flake chip on the underside of the lid. Otherwise it is free from damage and is clean and bright! (See photos).
