I had a wonderful opportunity to acquire a gorgeous collection of early 19th century , circa 1820’s chintz. All English printed for the American market. A prestigious fine collection from a New England collector. I’ll be listing them all in separate listings.

This listing is for a gorgeous early cornucopia floral chintz. Roller printed & hand block printed.

Outstanding design in a mustardy yellow ochre, early brown and a corally red.

The scale is large.

A more slender length which measures 14” wide by 42” long.

Two full cornucopia motifs & one almost full at the top.

In good strong condition for it’s early age with some surface patina which is age appropriate & charming on this textile.

Wonderful specimen for many uses & quilt repair, framing, possibly a cover for a stool or similar etc. And excellent in a collection or archive as these are all very rare survivors. So early & so hard to find.
