Rare Antique American Collage Needlework Sampler L. Barker 1883
Unique needlework sampler piece, 3 piece collage, left portion of the sampler features a dark blue border, the uppercase alphabet and numerals in dark blue stitching are separated by various line designs in red, the lower register has 2 square shaped designs and signed \"1883, L. BARKER\" also in red and blue. The piece on the upper right features pink lettering with a blue, green and pink border, reads \"L. BARKER, Aged X, 1882. The piece on the bottom right is a white dress fragment with initials \"LB\" and \"1882\" stitched in red on the sides with stitched red accents.
Good condition with some soiling from age, presented under glass with a distressed gilt frame. Framed measurements are approximately 14.75\" x 17.75\".
Part of a large needlework sampler collection from the Pacific Northwest with more pieces to be listed as they become available.
