Rare 1940's Embroidered Miller Chevrolet Dealer Unitog Mechanics Coveralls W/Hat:

This is a very rare surviving original 1940's embroidered Chevrolet Mechanic's jumpsuit or overalls that comes with the matching Super Chevrolet Service cap.The overalls were made of a heavy, off white herringbone patterned material and were supplied by Unitog of Kansas City. This is clearly marked on the rear hip area, the buttons and neck tag. This tag shows them to be a Short with the inseam 34".The cuffs and belt are accented in a blue cloth and it has amazing red embroidery to the words "Miller Chevrolet" on the back and the name "Hughes" on the front along with theSuper Chevrolet Service patch. The coveralls look to be near new and are not ripped, torn or have any holes but there are a couple of minor oil spots. The cap came with the coveralls and have the Super Chevrolet Service Patch on one side. This cap is made out of the same material as the suit and has no tag. It is also in very nice condition but are more oil stained. These coveralls are very rare in any condition and a nicer pair would be impossible to find.
For historical purposes, the man's full name that used these in the 1940's was "Deever Hughes" and he used them while working for Miller Chevrolet in St. Joseph, Missouri.Please email any questions or concerns and thanks for looking.
