The Thirty Cent Stamp of the 1869 Series is a vintage stamp that is similar in design to the ten cent stamp of the same series. It was engraved by Douglas S. Ronaldson. This stamp is the third and last in the series to have "inverted centers", which means that the design is printed upside down. Some collectors refer to these stamps as "inverted frames" because the vignette was printed first. The thirty cent stamp is the rarest and least obvious of the 1869 Series inverts. Stamp collecting is an educational hobby that can last a lifetime.
