This is a real photo postcard of the PC-10B Goodyear Zeppelin Corporation blimp, inside the iconic air dock at Akron Airport, Ohio. It is unknown which zeppelin this photo depicts.Two dirigibles, theAkron(ZRS-4) and its sister, theMacon(ZRS-5), were built in the air dock and launched in 1931 and 1934 respectively.The postcard is in great condition with very minor corner wear and very minor staining. Featuring an AZO stamp box, dating it circa 1926-1940s, this postcard is exceptionally well-preserved for its age, making it a fantastic find for collectors of aviation history.


The Goodyear Zeppelin, constructed in the Akron Airport Air Dock, was part of a series of airships that played significant roles in both civilian and military aviation. The Akron Air Dock, completed in 1929, was the largest building in the world without interior supports at the time, specifically designed to house these massive airships. The Goodyear Zeppelins were pioneering in their design and engineering, making them an iconic part of aviation history.
