An outstanding porcelain model of a young elephant produced by Rosenthal, one of Germany\'s finest porcelain manufacturers. This figurine has superior coloring and decoration compared to most, and its fine modeling was done by the incomparable Prof. Karner. The piece is fully hallmarked, dating production to 1946, so it has genuine age to it. The base is impressed with the model number and Karner\'s name. This rather large piece has undeniable appeal, showing the baby elephant in a playful pose, with loads of personality. Measures 6 1/4\" tall by 6\" long.No chips, cracks, repairs or restorations.
