LAST LARGER COMPLETE WOODBINE AMMONITE I HAVE FOR SALE THAT IS NOT CUT/POLISHED. RARE and ROBUST 5” conlinoceras (previously calycoceras) tarrantense ammonite, aka "woodbine" ammonite! These collectors' items only occur in a FEW COUNTIES in Texas, nowhere else in the world. Their occurrence in the Tarrant Formation at the bottom of the Eagle Ford Group makes these extremely hard to find. I PERSONALLY DISCOVERED EVERY AMMONITE I SELL UNLESS SPECIFICALLY NOTED. I will NOT share exact location, but for the sake of provenance I can share that this was found along the eastern border of Tarrant County in a creek. PROFESSIONALLY PREPARED USING AIR ABRASIVE, AIR SCRIBE, AND SPRAYED WITH A PROTECTIVE COATING by Mercer M. Brugler of The Fossil Factory. No repairs of any sort have occurred with this ammonite.

These ammonites are often filled with rich, beautiful calcite crystals, so they can always be sliced and polished later if a buyer chooses to do that with their own funds/tools.
