1950s(?)Vintage Matchbook Cover Description:Here\'sa nice vintage standard-sized matchbook coverfrom the Robinhood Motor Lodge, located at thejunction of Rt. 1 and 60, in Malden,Massachusetts. The phone number was given in theold style of \"DA 4-8500.\".The motel\'s amenities arelisted on the inside: Swimming Pool, 40 UltraModern Rooms, Coffee Shop, IndividuallyControlled Heating and Air Conditioning, Meetingand Function Rooms, Cocktail Lounge, T.V. andTelephone Service, Studio Rooms Produced byColumbia Match Co., Cleveland 21, Ohio U.S.A. Actual Size:approx.2\" x 1.5\" (closed)Date:Notdated, but the style of the phone number and useof a postal zone code (instead of Zip Code)probably places it in the 1950s, or perhaps early1960s.Condition:Good,I\'d say. The cover is just a bit soiled and thestriker strip appears to be slightly used.There\'s also some damage to the striker striparea, likely from rough removal of the staplethat held the matches, along with an additionalset of staple holes which pass through thestriker strip and both sides of the cover.(Please see scans.)
