This book features physicist Robert Oppenheimer as a college senior. Dr. Oppenheimer was the director of the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos during World War II, and is considered by most to be the "father of the atomic bomb". He shows with a nice posed head shot in the book.

This book is in good overall condition. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY AND SEE THE ATTACHED SCANS OF THE BOOK. The book is 100% solid and intact, and NONE of the below-listed flaws affect the page with Dr. Oppenheimer's head shot.

The corners of the covers have been bumped and show cardboard exposure. The top and bottom of the spine show heavy wear and fraying. The rear cover has some faint surface scratches toward the spine.The front and rear endpages show significant foxing and age-toning. The page corners show various degrees of dogearing throughout the book, ranging from very slight to hard folds and creases. Several of the pages in the middle of the book show rips along the bottom edges toward the spine. In addition, there are various places in the page block where you can see a slight separation between the page block and the binding.The price reflects both the condition of the book and its historic import.
