Was $94.99. This particular uniform is from 1963. The way to tell the age of the uniform is to look at the older labels on both the Blouse and Skirt and the embroidery on the pocket of the blouse. There are no discs on the membership pins-they came along in the end in 1963. There are also the Larger troop numbers and aren’t any of the Red “Sign” Patches on the sash. This Scout has not been in long enough to earn any Cadette badges yet either making it early 1963. The new Cadette Program just started in 1963.

The Blouse is nice looking with only very faint yellowing under the sleeves and seems to be made from cotton. It has the Cadette USA Patch on the sleeve. The Skirt is very nice with a working side zipper and a hidden pocket under the Logo on the Tab. It is in great condition without any flaws. The Sash has the Council Strip-Newport Beach-, the Troop Crest, Troop Numbers 428, Brownie Fly up Wings, 3 year Membership Pins, and 15 Junior Badges. The Tie is the one for this uniform. The Hat is made out of Wool and does Not have any holes in it which is unusual for any of these wool hats. It has the Cadette Cockade on it too.

The Handbook is one from 1963 also but I don’t know why they put these hard cardboard covers on them-they did this with the Junior books too. They are very dry and brittle not long after the scouts received them causing them to break the covers easily. This one has been taped on as you can see in the pictures. The cutout of the 1963 Cakendar is just to show the picture of the uniform.

These have been in my collection now for many years in a uniform cabinet away from the elements. Please see the pictures for the condition and measurements.
