Fitting : As per UK spec for this badge, may vary from photo if specificationhas changed which we do not control and on occasion they do change the fittingswithout notice to us, if in doubt ask in advance but in reality a fitting is afitting it matters not.

If your badge carries a Cotter Pin on the reverseplease note they are meant to be cut to size using a pair of pliers like allMilitary do.

Manufacture Process: Hand droppedstamped bespoke here in the UK from genuineUK manufactured tools and dies.

So if you receive for arguments sake a “whitemetal”, “staybright” or “brass” badge then that’s what is current specificationset by the UK for that item at this present time, again if in doubt please askbut do not afterwards state it is “nothing like great granddads badge” becausespecification changes regularly and has done regularly since WW2 whichcollectors using Kipling and King as a reference book regularly get wrong on adaily basis !!

Packing Powder : All our cap badges are brand new unless otherwise stated and aredelivered as QMS direct stock ready to polish / wear but may come to you withmoisture reducing powder on them (looks like a white residue) which is there tosoak up moisture in transit inside the jiffy bag and avoid tarnish or greenmoisture build ups especially on old badges, this rubs off easily with a bit ofelbow grease and effort and is after all there to protect your badge for you,there is nothing wrong with the badge just needs a clean.

Could all buyers please be aware that by nature of thisproduct being a metal based cap badge when it arrives it may need cleaning,polishing or buffing as they may come as first stock, QMS surplus stock or UKoverstock and may be dulled or tarnished due to being in storage for manyyears, but all badges polish uplovely, many of our badges are very very old original stock and as such somecan be over 50 years old or even older and therefore like all metals they willdull with age, BUT with a bit of love patience and initiative will clean upjust lovely as do all cap badges even by those with no experience of thesethings. remember that when issued by the QMS from any era NO badges I repeat NObadges are polished by QMS staff as that is something that all troops areexpected to be able to do, simple stuff ... so please be aware that your badge MAYbut not always need cleaning but as noted this is not always the caseespecially with newer regiments. new means shiney, old means dulled and mayneed a clean for those tender souls out there.
