This is a vintage cap of the General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. This headdress was worn by high-ranking officials of law enforcement agencies in the 90s and 2000s.
The cap is made in the traditional style: a dark blue top, a cherry rim with embroidered silver oak leaves, which symbolized a high rank. The coat of arms of Ukraine is attached to the front surrounded by a laurel wreath. The visor is decorated with a silver braid, and a decorative cord runs under it.
Such caps were worn as part of a ceremonial or uniform. They were a status symbol and were used until the reform of the militia into the police in 2015. Currently, such caps are valued by collectors and experts in the history of Ukrainian law enforcement agencies.
The cap of the General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is a vivid example of a uniform that symbolized the strength and authority of the country's law enforcement agencies.
