RARE VINTAGE METALFIELD POWDER COMPACT MIRROR w/SLIDE OUT CIGARETTE CASE 1940\'s :

This is a vintage Metalfields of New York powder compact with mirror that has a slide out drawer which was probably used for cigarettes. I think the time period is from the 1930\'s to the 1950\'s. It is near impossible to put an exact date on these vintage items. Condition is excellent with usual scratches on an item this old. It is solid brass construction. I trust my pictures show the details. Obviously the clasp on the front opens the powder/mirror compartment and you grip the 2 sides to slide out the cigarette drawer.Weight is 6.7oz. Dims when closed are 3 5/16\" x 2 3/4\" x 11/16\". When the drawer is pulled out the interior dims are 65mm x 80mm which is just the right size for the old style 70mm cigarettes.
