RARE VICTORIAN THREADED STRIPED GLASS EPERGNE DIXON SHEFFIELD SILVERPLATED BASE:

A hard to find circa 1885 Victorian art glass epergne with colorful striped, ruffled and threaded glass on a Sheffield silver plated base hallmarked James Dixon and Sons. I don\'t know who produced the glass but the high quality and interesting design would suggest somebody like Stevens and Williams. The glass changes slightly in color depending on the lighting, which should be visible in some photos. The epergne is in overall good condition and displays great but there are a few minor condition issues. The large center flute and one side flute has a couple missing threads, one side flute has chipping to the stem base, not visible when sitting in the holders. Not sure if the baskets and center flute had metal sleeves at the end but still fit snug into the holders. The base is partially tarnished with some wear to the silver plate and one of the prongs on the end of the holder is missing. All this is shown in the enlarged photos.
Height approx. 22\" and 17\" wide when assembled, weighs about 6 pounds.
