RARE conlinoceras (previously calycoceras) tarrantense ammonite, aka "woodbine" ammonite! These collectors' items only occur in a FEW COUNTIES in Texas, nowhere else in the world. Their occurrence in the Tarrant Formation at the bottom of the Eagle Ford Group makes these extremely hard to find.

This slab has a nice ammonite imbedded, with the most well preserved section measuring 3” diameter. The backside of the slab is quite interesting, featuring a fossilized fish vertebra and possibly (I am not certain) teeth and lots of oysters.

REVIEW ALL PHOTOS. elements of the slab also fluoresce under 365 NM UV light.

I PERSONALLY DISCOVERED EVERY AMMONITE I SELL UNLESS SPECIFICALLY NOTED. I will NOT share exact location, but for the sake of provenance I can share that this was found along the eastern border of Tarrant County.

PROFESSIONALLY PREPARED by Mercer M. Brugler of The Fossil Factory. No repairs of any sort have occurred with this ammonite.
