This is a Great Example of Victorian Vanity Preserved. This 7 piece VANITY / ROMANCE SET consists of a tray, powder box / trinket box, powder / trinket box lid, 2 perfume bottles and 2 lids. The set is Hand Painted and Decorated with 24 Karat Gold.
The Tray - Felt Bottom, Marked on the Bottom Side of the Handle, Le Mieux China, 24 Karat Gold, Hand Decorated. Porcelain, Gilded scrollwork surrounds the piece with an ornate seafoam green band around the inside edge, Aprox. size 13 1/2\" x 7 1/2\"
The Trinket Box -Very Ornate! Marked on the Bottom, Le Mieux China, 24 Karat Gold, Hand Decorated. Porcelain, Gilded scrollwork surrounds the piece with an ornate seafoam green band around the top outside edge of the piece, and the handle of the top of the trinket / powder box. The inside of the lid and the inside of the box are also decorated with gilding.Aprox, size:3 \" Inches Tall 3 3/4\" Inches wide.
The Perfume Bottles - Hand Painted & Decorated with 24 Karat Gold. The front of each bottle has a Victorian Scene with one a gentleman serenading his lady and the other them sitting together. The detail is Stunning! The painting is in great condition. The bottle itself is in Excellent Condition! There are no chips or cracks. The gold is in Great Condition also. The sides of the bottle are a pretty sea green with gold accents. The back of the bottle is all gold design. Each stopper is also porcelain with the entire outer area covered in 24 karat gold with the top having seafoam green with gold accents just like the trinket / powder box. Aprox. size: 5 1/4\" x 3\"
THIS IS A STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL PIECE THAT HAS BEEN VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF OVER THE LAST 90 YEARS!*Can not be 100% confirmed but there\'s a strong consensus in the community that it was made in France pre-WWII
