Stunning - \"fascist era\" Volta conference The Royal Academy of Italywas founded with the royal decree-law of 7 January 1926 by Benito Mussolini but was inaugurated only on 28 October 1929 within the Villa Farnesina building in Rome. In the first years of life the main concern was represented by the collection of funds necessary for carrying out institutional activities, and these were found among the brothers Mario, Aldo and Vittorio Crespi (owners of Corriere della Sera) who established four annual prizes, made out to Mussolini , each of 50,000 lire; and at the Edison Company, which donates ten million lire for a Foundation dedicated to Alessandro Volta.Provenience : RomePeriod : 1935 belonging to my private collection
