Offered is aRARE Original WWII USMC or US Army Frogskin Camouflage Net Jacket Cover with Hood and Face Covering.
This was an experimental Light Weight Net (Fortisan Mesh) Jacket to be worn over the regular HBT Fatigues. It is very light weight and has the Green Frogskin coloring. It has to slash openings to be able to access pockets on the fatigues. It closes with 4 Tan/Brown plastic buttons. It also has a hood with a drawstring. But most unique, it has a piece of netting to cover the face. Many think this was intended for snipers.
It proved to be too flimsy and was discontinued. However this is one of the rarest WWII USMC Marine Corp / US Army items ever. According to what I have read, only 410 were made.
