RARE ORIGINAL WW2 SEABEES ATTACHED TO USMC MARINES ENAMELED CAP BADGE PIN BACK:

This design was first used by the WW2 Seabee battalions attached to US Marine Regiments. This example measures approximately 1 1/4” high. It is marked on the reverse “METALARTS ROCH NY”. There is no known evidence that the cap badge wasan authorized design. There is a scan of a reference page in this posting.Well made with enamels and separately affixed man. Original factory lacquer still present. On the enameled portion of the badge, there is a hazy and mottled appearance, and I believe that this is also the original lacquer which has crazed. I also believe it could be cleaned, and the enamel would be bright and shiny if you wished. Roller catch present and works. You are buying the material pictured.
