Wonderful Example of a Scarce 18th Century Dutch / Belgian Free-Blown 10\" Case Gin Bottle!

Rare 18th Century Dutch / Belgian Free-Blown Case Gin Bottle medium-to-dark olive green/black glass, early square \"case bottle\" form with slight inward taper, applied outwardly flaring pig snout-style mouths, and moderately kicked-up bases with blowpipe pontil scars, 1770-1800. 10 1/4\" HOA.
Literature: Parallels Van den Bossche - Antique Glass Bottles, p. 131, pl. 83, fig. 4.
Condition
Undamaged, excellent but with several potstones/impurities to the glass, one of these with a slightly open production flaw by the mouth shown in photos. All in all a very beautiful bottle which would make a great addition to any bottle collection.

Came out of an Important Antique Bottle Collection from a former Museum in Worcester, Massachusetts.
