RARE!! German Beer Stein FROM Switzerland (Wood Carving Hummels) O. MAEDER LUCERNE. Beautiful piece of workmanship these steins are such beautiful art pieces. Love how everytime you look at them you find something else in the details. They tell a story, this particular one has 3 gentlemen on it and each one has there own story. One of the gentlemen featured is one of Switzerland\'s folk hero  Wilhelm Tell , who\'s story is he shot an apple off of his sons head with an arrow. ( nice to know where the episode in Bugs Bunny comes from!! 😉) Stein stands about 9 inches tall, the attached lid  is beautifully engraved and made of pewter. We took many pictures to show condition of the item no cracks no staining, no dents no fading.  It\'s in fantastic condition do to the age of it. This stein has been in my family for as long as I can remember,  and now we are looking for a new home for it. It has it markings on the bottom for Authencity and an old label from the company on the bottom as well.
