This Disneyland Tiki Room Drummer God Lamp Big Fig is a rare find for any Disney collector. With only 1000 made, it is a limited edition item that commemorates the 50th year of Disneyland Park. It is a great addition to anyone's collection of theme park souvenirs and Disneyana collectibles.
Created by Kevin Kidney for Disneyland’s 50th Anniversary, this amazing Tiki Room Drummer God light has been sitting on my porch (unused) since I got it. It was meant to be a light for the porch, but then we never used the porch so it just sat there unplugged. I cleaned it up for the sale, but there may still a little dust to clean up.The size is approximately23' x 19' x 9” and comes with a COA. The attached power cord switches the light on and off.
The light works perfectly. Still has the same bulb as when I got it. I am sure you can change it (there is some info on the bottom about what kind of light to get), but not sure how you change it. Maybe you lift the plastic piece on the top of the drum. The plastic overlay looks like it could use some cleaning from the inside as well, but it was always hazy so you can't see the lightbulb within.
It's a very cool piece and in very good to excellent condition. No flaws, chips or cracks that I can see. As I said, he's just been sitting in a corner undisturbed for years.
The Big Fig comes with its original Certificate of Authenticity, but I don't have the original box.
SHIPPING: I will pack it up with the sturdy bubble wrap and send it in a huge box with packaging materials all around him, so it has a safe journey to your home. He is HEAVY though, almost 18 pounds, so shipping will probably be expensive. You can also pick him up locally in NJ.
Here's a little info about the piece from the enclosure that comes with the COA:
Tikis play the drums, chant and otherwise threaten to upstage the feathered feature players in the final of Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room, the first presentation to showcase Disney's audio-animatronics process. Thought the automated birdies do have their fling first, eventually even the room and its fixtures come to startling life -- precisely as Walt had intended. Two of the show's designers, Imagineer March Davis and Rally Crump kept to Walt's vision of wanting to suprise the audience with the unexpected and giving them something they couldn't see anywhere else in the world. The two imagineers devised several Tikis, including this monkey-likedrummer, an earlier version of which had a slender, simian tale.
For Walt Disney Collectibles, Disney artist Kevin Kidney hasmeticulously sculpted the dual-sided Finale Drummer, reproducing both it and its fiery, illuminated Tom-Tom. Cast in resin to capture every detail, it is just the thing to make the Tiki Gods rejoice at any tropical celebration.

Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room is an attraction located in Disneyland at the Disneyland Resort and in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, and previously in Tokyo Disneyland at Tokyo Disney Resort. First opened on June 23, 1963 at the Disneyland Resort, the attraction is a pseudo-Polynesian musical Audio-Animatronic show drawing from American tiki culture.
The Floridian version of this attraction, which was identical but with a different pre-show, was known as Tropical Serenade until 1998, when it was replaced with an updated version of the attraction called The Enchanted Tiki Room (Under New Management), featuring Aladdin's Iago and The Lion King's Zazu. That version operated until 2011, when it was damaged by a fire, which led to Disney reintroducing an edited version of the original Walt Disney attraction to replace it. The Japanese version of this attraction operated until 1999, when it was first redeveloped into a nightclub-style version of the show called The Enchanted Tiki Room Presents: Get the Fever!, before it was redeveloped again as The Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents Aloha e Komo Mai!, a partially Lilo & Stitch-themed version of the attraction.
