RARE - COLONIAL KNIFE CO. Stainless Steel ANVIL 3-Blade Stockman -- ((NEW)):

- This is a RARE vintage 3-Blade Stockman made by COLONIAL KNIFE CO. that is BRAND NEW and has never been used. It measures a large 4\" long closed and has a 3\" long Clip point main blade, a 2\" long Sheepsfoot blade, and a 2\" long Spey blade all made of bright and shiny STAINLESS STEEL. All three blades have GOOD SNAP and NO WOBBLE. It has NICKEL SILVER BOLSTERS and a BRASS LINER.
- The very nice reddish-brown handles are made of JIGGED DELRIN and are in perfect condition. It has the ANVIL BADGE embedded on the front side.Colonial, which is based in Providence, R.I.. began using theANVILbrand in 1972. This one is about 50 YEARS-OLD and was made in the mid-1970s. It is NEW OLD STOCK that has been sitting in a warehouse for many years. Please see the pictures.
- The tang on the main blade is stamped COLONIAL over a DOUBLE LINE over STAINLESS USA. The only other marking is on the back of the Spey blade. It is the U.S. PATENT NUMBER 3317996 which was given to Colonial Knife Co. owner Antonio Paolantonio in July 1965 for a Bolster design.
