FURLED ROSES (rose-pinkgradually intensify in color toward center/pale peach also deeper atcenter/light sprig green) AND w. BEAUTIFUL LEAVES (SHADES OF GREEN ON BRANCHES— ALL FLOWERS, LEAVES, BRANCHES IN HIGH RELIEF.SEATED WOMAN IN RELAXED POSTURE HAS BARE FEET and a FLOWER-SPRIGGED PALESPRING GREEN DRESS (folds of dress beautifully rendered). 9 ½” oval with wavy rim. One rose and leaf on branch curl over edge ofbowl into interior. Spray of wildflowerspainted in center of bottom of well.MARK IS TWO UNDERGLAZE BLUE PARALLEL LINES (which come close to a BERLINmark, but not exactly). Another indicationof bowl’s age and quality: there’s anold crack across one side, below the seated figure and the CRACK IS REPAIRED w.HEAVY STAPLES, THE METHOD OF CHOICE FOR VALUABLE CERAMICS IN THE 18TH& EARLY 19TH CENTURIES.There are a few small, insignificant chips to leaves. There’s also an impressed “353” and “12” ingold ink. Four scrolling feet.
