RARE Antique Brass Bell Shaped Miniature Bell Shaped Clock:

=-Here we have a lovely mantel clock which is a lovely bell shape and of super small proportions. We have sold several of these clock of large proportions but have never seen an example like this of such small proportions. The clock’s top is fitted with a single handle. The body of the clock is embossed with pretty scroll work, fruits, flowers, vines and quatrefoil profiles containing half-length figures. These are most likely Christian saints or leaders, as they are accompanied by Latin inscriptions quoting the part of the Lord’s Prayer ‘PATER NOSTER IN COELIS’ (our father in heaven) and the blessing ‘DOMINUS VOBISCUM’ (the lord be with you) with its response ‘ET CUM SPIRITU TUO’ (and with your spirit). At the centre of the clock’s body, there is a circular dial with blue Roman Numerals. The dial is surrounded by a nicely detailed bezel. The clock is being sold requiring some restoration. The movement is being sold requiring restoration and as such is for spares / repair. It measures approximately : 5 1/8 \" / 13 cm diameter x 7 1/2 \" / 19 cm high CONDTITION: The clock is in nice condition and has the brass has nicely aged. There are a couple of fine hairline cracks to the dial and the tip of one of the hands is lacking and there in no glass. The surround to one of the feet is lacking. The movement is being sold requiring restoration and as such is for spares / repair.
