This listing is for a Rare Old Vintage Bohemian Czech Art Glass 6 1/8\" (15.6 cm) Tall Covered Jar. It has an applied figural Dog Head finial of clear glass. Mottled spatter pink and green with aventurinemetallic flecks over cased white interior. Hand blown with ground pontil on base. I believe it was made by Franz Welz or Kralik. I cannot find anything else like it. Any info is appreciated.
It is in excellent condition overall with no cracks or repairs. One small nick to top rim (photo 24), which get hidden by lid. No other issues. The dog and lid rim are perfect! Age appropriate shelf wear to base. Very clean and in and out! Please view the photos carefully as they are my main description. *(White spots in pictures are glare / lighting from photos and not actually on the item).
It is very fragile and will be securely packaged and double boxed.
It measures 6 1/8\" (15.6 cm) tall to top of lid finial, 3 3/4\" (9.5 cm) tall to rim, 3 1/4\" (8.2 cm) at widest part of body, 2 5/8\" (6.7 cm) across top rimwith a 2 3/8\" (6.1 cm) diameter opening, and 2 13/16\" (7.2 cm) at the base.
