Very old pinned brass movement, cleaned and oiled, circa 1900. It works (ticks and strikes) but like all antique clocks it can be temperamental, so it is being sold as-is. This piece is intended for the collector with some familiarity with Black Forest clocks and an appreciation for their rarity and beauty, not as an everyday household timepiece. (For that, you should probably go with battery-powered quartz.) The bellow pipes are not original, but it has a beautiful deep cuckoo, unlike the squeaky call of newer clocks. The bellows have been recovered with modern material and are clamped down for safe shipment. THERE ARE NO WEIGHTS INCLUDED. This is a one-of-a-kind, very rare and unusual cuckoo. Very large, approx 21 1/2\" x 15\".
