RARE Antique 1912 UNCLE SAM Die Cut Countertop Standing Store Display Sign:

Offered is a rare, early 20th century patriotic standing store countertop display. A magnificent Uncle Sam stands tall with the Washington Monument and United States Capitol in the background. The sign reads “NATIONALLY ADVERTISED”, “SOLD HERE” and “FURNISHED BY GOOD HOUSEKEEPING MAGAZINE” “WEGENAAR, - NEW YORK”. The reverse is dated DEC. 1912 as pictured.

The display is die-cut and made from a very heavy, 1/8" thick card stock. It stands approximately 12" tall and 5 1/2" wide. It is in very good condition with still vibrant colors. There is some minor age wear, mostly to the edging and corners. Uncle Sam’s neck has a crease/bend which does not detract from the display. The easel on back has a tear which can easily be taped but I will leave that to the buyer’s discretion. The small piece that fits into the stand to lock it in place has not been opened. I was, however, able to easily get the display to free stand as can be seen in the photos.
