A striking Inuit soapstone carving! It represents a bird, sitting on a rock, but with an alert stance. Carved out of dark gray soapstone stone. Very nicely done, with excellent details.

It is signed Elisapie in syllabics and the Inuit indentification tag number underneath which dates this piece in the 50s. Great decor to display, in wonderful vintage condition!

It is in very good vintage condition, no chips. There are surface scratches and signs of age.
