This is an Antique 1927 LINDBERGH GOODWILL TOUR LOS ANGELES BANQUET MEDAL
1927 medal issued by the Robbins Co., Attleboro MA, to commemorate the visit by Charles Lindbergh to Los Angeles as part of the Guggenheim Goodwill Tour. The medal is 38 mm, bronze. The legend on the medal reads: "Banquet In Honor Of Col. Chas. A. Lindbergh Los Angeles September 20, 1927 Commemorating First Non-Stop New York To Paris Flight". The medal has a wonderful image of a young Lindbergh, reminding us of just how young he was when making his historic flight. Barry's comments about this medal: "A wonderful attendee's medal which was only given to the people at the banquet September 20, 1927 in Los Angeles. The medal was placed on each person's plate that attended the banquet and I believe that a gold one exists which was given to him by the city of Los Angeles.
