Ships to US addresses only. Estate sale find.... This is an absolutely stunningly fragile survivor in excellent condition..
This delicate paper sight gag with tiny miniature chair inside refers to a popular song in 1901 called
\"Go Way Back And Sit Down\" sung by Will F. Denny.
The song was popular through the 1930s. The lyrics are decidedly racist.
A quick google and you find there are many interpretations of the lyrics, particularly politically charged versions.

He\'s got no vim. The shoe fits him,

He still does say there\'ll come the day

If he keeps his health, he\'ll sure have wealth
And live in luxury.
He bet on a horse that always lost,
The coons all laughed at him.
But this time it won at a hundred to one,
Then thousands he \"cashed in\".
He left the field in an automobile
That took him to Sam\'s place.
Sam thought he was broke, and started to joke,
So he told Sam to his face: CHORUS That this little box was not crushed or destroyed over its approximate 115 year life is hard to believe... a very, cool item!
