Wicker Cane Old Ovoid Shape Seltzer Bottle.

This example is from the turn of the century 1900\'s and has an impressive presentation with wicker cane and an unusual shaped vessel beneath. These early seltzers are quite uncommon and although this one has some marks from its life it remains to be quite the conversation piece. Standing proudly at approx 12 inches in height, the hardware consists of an acorn cap, spout and pressure ball on a threaded collar which is secured to the vase. This is a rare piece that I have had on the shelf for over 25 years.

Please note the pics and details here about condition. There is a spot of wicker that is torn and a crack in the bottle that runs across the base and then upwards. Although the crack is large it does not seem to affect the integrity of the displayed piece. I have had this displayed for many years and always enjoyed admiring its rarity and place in history. These examples represent the earliest decades of soda water evolution and its amazing we have this piece to hold its place.
