Purdue University Commemorative Plate Vintage - Late 1950s - 10\" diameter White ceramic plate with black transfer and gold trim.
Made by W.C. Bunting Co. East Liverpool, Ohio They started making College and University commemorative pottery pieces in 1946.
This plate is in nice condition, with no chips or cracks. Transfer and gold trim are intact. There are some \"rub\" marks on the back foot/rim of the plate possibly from a plate hanger or from rubbing against surfaces over the years. See photos.
Three iconic Purdue landmarks depicted:
- Loeb Fountain, completed in 1959, in it\'s original location in front of the Executive Building which was renamed Hovde Hall of Administration in 1975.
- Purdue Hall of Music, which opened in 1940 and was later renamed Elliott Hall of Music in 1958.
- Purdue Memorial Union and Memorial Center built in 1924 as a memorial to students who fought in WWI.
